FAQ

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. We fetch public badge images from img.releaserun.com, but your selections and dependency files never leave your device.

What badge types are available?

Each technology gets four badge types: Health (overall grade A–F), Version (latest stable release), EOL (end-of-life status), and CVE (known vulnerability count). Data comes from endoflife.date, CVE databases, and our release monitoring.

How often are badges updated?

Badges are generated on-the-fly from live data. Version, EOL, and CVE information is refreshed multiple times per day from upstream sources.

Can I use these badges in private repos?

Yes. The badge image URLs are public and work anywhere that can render images — GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Confluence, Notion, and internal wikis.

What is the difference between flat and flat-square?

Both are standard Shields.io-style layouts. Flat has subtly rounded edges and a gradient, while Flat Square has sharp corners and a solid fill. Choose whichever matches your project style.

Monitor your stack health automatically

Badges stay up to date automatically. Combine them with a Stack Health Scorecard to track your entire infrastructure at a glance.
