FAQ

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The HTML and headers you paste never leave your device. The only network requests are badge image fetches from our badge service.

Why paste HTML instead of entering a URL?

Browsers block cross-origin requests (CORS), so we cannot fetch arbitrary URLs from client-side JavaScript. Pasting the source ensures your data stays private and the tool works without any server-side processing.

How is the technology grade calculated?

The grade (A–F) evaluates five factors: use of a modern framework, presence of security headers, analytics configuration, CDN usage, and responsive/SEO meta tags. Each factor contributes to the overall score.

What technologies can this tool detect?

The detector covers frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Next.js, Nuxt, Svelte, Gatsby, Remix), CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Ghost, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow), JS libraries (jQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind, Alpine.js, HTMX), analytics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, Segment, Plausible, Fathom, Matomo), CDNs, fonts, and HTTP server/security headers.
